Review
As you all know by know that this movie is an adaptation from The Harry Potter book series written by J.K.Rowling. The director is the same as the one who brought the dreadful Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix. But i must say he has truly out done himself making this movie one of the best Harry Potter movies ever to be in production. I admit it after watching the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in the theatre i was worried about this movie cos of the way the director made the movie and the changes he made. But, after my 146 minutes in the theatre i came out with a relief and a belief that that the part 2 will be good too.
The script written by Steve Klove proves to be like most british movies a SHOW OFF!!! But at least the lines in this movie are far more memorable like these lines, Ginny:"Zip me up will you?",damn the twins, have managed to confuse me!!! Fred OR George:"i feel HOLY", Ron:"that ball of light went through me in my chest and after that i know what i had to do"....(a few catchy lines but it has quite an effect). And yes i admit it, the script was a bit better than its predecessors making the movie rather quite enjoyable to watch.
Although the movie was rather enjoyable, i found that Daniel Radcliffe's ability to portray the character lost its charm on and off. He was a bit too delusional while filming this movie i guess. But, nevertheless i must say from all the characters, this time Ron Weasley, played by Rupert Grint showed us what it really feels like to be Ron giving us a insight on the character. Rupert has managed to give a very good on screen performance which deserves some credit. Hermoince Granger played by Emma Watson was convincing too as usual but this time around she provided us with more depth and enthusiasm. As for Ralph Fiennes aka LORD VOLDERMORT's Death Eaters reunion with thier Dark Load was not able to produce the same amount of darkenss compared to the reunion of the Death Eaters in the grave yard form the Harry Potter and the Goblet of FIRE. But, the graphic phython managed to steal the show with its ruthless assaults and killing in which the phython managed to make us, 'the normal audience' jump out form our seats,(well mostly or people like me) or make the graphic geeks say "WOW!!!".
Besides that, the death of Dobby the Noble elf makes quite an impression on audience (ps:made me cry...twice....and i know u are smiling so STOP IT!!!..LOL). The wedding in this movie failed to create the atmosphere that the book was able to provide vividly which was quite disappointing ( but hey, its a movie and they were focusing more on the part where Harry meets Elphias Doge). Other than that, as usual the wand waving and duelling leaves us asking for more! All in all, the movie's soundtrack is superb as especially at the scene where LORD VOLDERMORT takes the ELDER WAND from Dumbledore's tomb. It showed a great deal of darkness spreading which gives you quite a feeling. Moreover like, Hagrid said in the Harry Potter's fifth installment...."There's a storm coming Harry, and when she comes we better be ready!"
And right you are Hagrid, we will wait for the finale of this magical adventure eagerly!!!
My Rating
8.4 out of 10
