Marvel of the Month: Everyone Needs A Hero!

Now, I know what you are thinking the moment you saw the title and the picture. Don't worry, I will not bore you down about how the comics is and how the hero saves the day and about how strong he is and the wonders he does. Instead, I am going for a different approach! For a fact, I am actually outlining what I am going to present on my Presentation Class on Tuesday.

Firstly, what does a hero mean? Well, lets just simply say that a hero is somewhat of an Icon,a Role model,a person who has performed heroic acts,a male/female lead actor of a movie. It can be defined as you please. For me right now, a hero is defined as an icon/role model and person who does heroic acts.

Let me give you a few example of heroes according to my definitions. Abraham Lincoln,Mahatma Gandhi, Johnny Depp, Lionel Messi, Iron Man, Spiderman, The Flash and many more superheroes and internationally recognized global icons. Allow me, to pinpoint to the one thing that they all have in common; they INSPIRE! You can simply argue the fact that Superheroes don't exist and they are just made for fantasy but let me tell you this, we are seeing heroes everyday! 'Who is that hero?' is the question popping in your brain right now as you are reading. Well that means you have got to exile yourself for a few minutes and think over that question till you find the answer(ps:when i say exile yourself alone means it is for you to think about that question not to do something else! you know what I mean!) Why is it so important for you to identify your hero? Why?

Everyday, we hear or read or see lots of things happening like disasters, wars, famine, crimes and what do we do once we hear or read it? We feel pity(some pray for those poor souls), we learn to prepare ourselves for it, and we are always on the lookout for our self and those close to us. We practically start having the feeling of FEAR! When FEAR starts to creep slowly in every single one of our cells, we start loosing our trust on others and eventually we become selfish. Yes, what I said is mean and it might have caused an intangible harm to you.(If it hurts anyone I am very sorry, sometimes the truth is a bitter pill to swallow and I would also like to clarify that that my this message suits most people) Let me give you a perfect example, when someone is being beaten up by a bunch of thugs with some sticks what do we do? Most of us tend to close our eyes and just walk-off. Why? Because you don't want to end up like that victim. Than, there are a few who would go out of sight and alert the authorities and wait until those authorities arrive and meanwhile watching that victim suffer. My question is simple? Why don't you stand up? Why don't you tell them to leave their victims alone? You might say that, they would attack you and you are scared(FEAR!) or you might say that you are outnumbered or you might say that we should lead a life of better man by going through the way of peace and let the authorities handle those bad-asses! Let me ask you something again, what is the point in leading a life of a better man if you can't even stand your ground for whats right? and than, there are the others who would argue and say why should we bother and hurt ourselves? I just want to ask you back this question; if you were being abused by a group of thugs or its someone very close to you and you realize that people who were there; mostly opted for a walk-off and while some alerted authorities but none came to give an immediate aid. How would you feel? Are you still going to be okey until the authorities arrive and are you going to feel happy that someone instead of giving you immediate aid called the authorities and waited for them to help you. How would you feel?

Won't you feel angry? Won't you feel frustrated and won't you have the impression that the society is a coward? and won't YOU WONDER WHY IS THE SOCIETY SUCH COWARD? with all the things we have achieved as humans, and for all the time we have been moving forward why are we such cowards? The biggest question here why? Why this, why that? WHY????

Simple answer: The society needs inspiration! We need inspiration and I am proud to say that I have my inspiration! My inspiration are my heroes! My heroes not only teach me the values of life and heroism, my heroes teach me to stand my ground no matter the cost for the right thing! I am INSPIRED by my heroes to do what is right! and yet there are those skeptics who would ask me why is inspiration so important?

A good example is Mahatma Gandhi. He stood up for his country, he held his chin high up for his people and in the end with his first stand! His fellow countrymen were inspired and stood up together to get independence. In the end they got their independence. While you all may also know that he was shot to death too. But let me tell you this, not all heroes have to sacrifice themselves to inspire a nation and lets just say that, you are about to meet darkness then, why not hug it as your bride and move on? While you would surely be known for your heroics and your legacy.

Than we also have daily heroes such as our mother or father and etc. You don't need me to tell you what they have done and how much it is important to you. But let me tell you this, a man without inspiration is a corpse! What do we get by having inspirations? We get more heroes to look up to. We get to lead a life of a better man.

And that's why everyone needs a hero! We need inspiration, we need to have someone to look up to so that we would be inspired, and if we truly are to lead a life of better man than we should live a life of a hero. Should you be inspired you would be amazed by the outcome you will achieve!

Finally,I am proud to share my heroes. They are the Avengers from the Marvel comics. They inspire me, they drive me to lead a better life. They inspire me to stand up! Most of all, the Iron Man from the avengers makes me want to live like a FUTURIST! You may ask why I am so passionate about it? Because its one of the few things that inspires me the most in the world. It teaches me the values of life. Life is unfair and we are not perfect. But we as humans have to accept it and try to live a life which is near perfect. Therefore, my dream is to help other stand up for themselves and I want to INSPIRE them!
I want to be a HERO just like my HEROES!

X-Men First Class

Question: What will happen if you put the Director of Kick Ass on a Marvel based production movie?
Answer: A movie that simply Kicks Ass. Hell yeah! X-Men First Class does really Kick Ass with its awesome plot, awesome script, awesome cast, awesome action, awesome score, awesome hotness(LOL) and awesome of awesomeness giving Mr.Awesomeness a Kick in sorry HIDE!(Kung Fu Panda). Yes, Kung Fu Panda 2 was good but the year of awesomeness was prepared for X-Men First Class!(so far,LOL). It seems Michael Vaughn played a part in X-Men First Class's screenplay. The 4 screenplay writers and the 2 story writers have managed to put together a mind blowing script.
For instance,
Charles:"Listen to me carefully my friend, killing him will not bring you peace....."
Erik:"Peace was never an option"
and they were playing chess. How's that for a 'freakin awesome' line? Another one is,
CIA Director: "Don't you remember anything else about Charles or the mutants?"
Moira: "No, I can't remember anything else..."
CIA Director: "They are even able to do that?"
Moira: "All I remember is, sunlight, trees, wind.....and KISS"
CIA Director: "Gentlemen, this is why CIA doesn't have women agents!"
Wasn't that awesome? Wait till you watch the movie. You would be entertained even more!

As for the cast, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender was able to provide the real insight of the relationship between Charles and Magneto. The style James McAvoy uses to portray Charles is one of the highlights and looking at him flirting at the start with his Genetics Mutation notes was done in such a cool way that makes you feel overwhelmed by every single word of it.(Heard it from a women, couldn't resist the urge to add it in.LOL!). Without forgetting, Michael Fassbender, he gave a very good presence in the whole movie considering; his not so famous roles in other movies. He was able to showcase the talent he had. Even Kevin Bacon looked so young and so dashing in his new looks as Sebastian Shaw which is a credit to him. The others were very good too, especially Edi Ghategi who had a very short time in the movie playing Darwin. Once a wise old man told me that, "the people we remember the least gives us the lasting impression and Darwin just manages to do that."

But no matter how perfect things might seem it would surely have its flaws. There were 2 major flaws and 1 goof that I realized. The 2 flaws were simply, the X-Men First Class movie ain't following the comics therefore its quite a letdown for X-Men comic's fans.(ps:me) Another big flaw, the biggest flaw in the history of movie which should never have happened,..................(anticipation rising you wanna know what it is, caution after reading you might feel like throwing something at me; my request is simply don't. Thank you)
Emma Frost wasn't as HOT as she was in the comics! Now as for the biggest goof that they made, "When Magneto is riding on the X-Men's plane as it is flying close the ground, only his hair moves with the wind, none of his other clothing appears affected by the wind even though the ground speed of the plane would be very high." Hahahahaha....However I would like to share this with you all too, "we see at the end of _X-men Origins: Wolverine (2009)_, set around 1979, a glimpse of Xavier who is clearly walking, however Xavier becomes paralyzed at the end of this film which is set in the 1960s. This is not a continuity error because this film is a reboot of the X-men movies."

Finally, the trailer itself had a awesome background score. In the movie, the background score was awesome matching each scenes and when the Cuban Missile Crisis was about to take place the background music played gave me goosebumps! Other than that, you have very good action sequences and you can see how much the CGI effects has improved since the day it was taken to the extreme by Matrix. The Darwin blowing up scene was a jaw dropping scene for CGI effects 'NERD' and it was a very sad scene too, which made some cry in the cinema.
(I am not going to mention who. I know you are laughing, so stop laughing and if you are smiling don't do that too. :P)

Fast 5

Right. I know its been more than a month since the movie was released. Well, I am not going to give the typical reason of busy. My reason is simply I was feeling lazy. There you go I said it. Okey chill. No reason to throw a boot at me now. LOL.

Now before I start talking about Fast 5 lets have a look at its predecessors. The Fast and Furious franchise started off with Paul Walker,(PW) joining Vin Diesel's heist crew. PW being an undercover cop to bust Vin Diesel and his crew. But then it had a little twist and it was a good movie to start off a franchise. The 2nd installment 2 Fast 2 Furious unfortunately didn't have Vin Diesel nor any of the other main characters from the latter. But it had enough "muscles, humor and bad-ass attitude" with Tyrese Gibson and average sexiness with Eva Mendes. The second installment wasn't so bad at all. In fact it was quite entertaining seeing Luda Chris and Tyrese Gibson on-screen. As for the third one, Fast Furious: Tokyo Drift still leaves me in "Alice in Wonderland" drifting an American muscle with some so called "DK=Donkey KONG". Then the fourth one came out and I thought that was the down fall of the franchise and the race ended with F&F franchise loosing. Boy was I wrong!

This Fast 5 is the perfect Auto Racing genre movie ever made! Want to know why? From the beginning of the movie till the end of the movie you will be on the edge of your seat, and without you realizing your heart would be on-pace with the movie pumping the adrenaline you need to watch the movie.LOL. Fast 5: Rio Heist has a very good cast, muscles and hotness! You know what I mean. Lets get to the beginning of the movie, the beginning of the movie picked up its pace straight away like how Torretto would start when he is racing. The speed is maintained, with the car well driven and with a perfect speed at the ending. Be prepared to laugh a lot because the movie has a lot of humor which lacked in its predecessors. The best part of the movie is the sudden rivalry between Diesel and Johnson. Its just blows yo away. Even their fight scenes made sense, well for the movie.(PS: If its real you know who the winner is). Then you have a hot police chick chasing the crew and the reason for her arrival is because people like her smile! You also have the Best F&F on-screen humor duo Chris and Tyrese. You also have the Super Hot Slim Gal Gadot who always manages to spice up her scenes. You also have Han and his coolness the entire movie. With all of that, how can you not like the movie?

Chris Morgon has managed to write a fantastic script with some good lines. Although he provided a better script for the movie cellular this Fast 5 had the best storyline and script than its predecessors. As for the action scenes I don't have the need to say much about it because you know how's it going to be. But if you insist I have just got 2 words for it: "Freakin Awesome!". Moreover, the background music was a match made in heaven with the scenes. With each scenes and its background score you should really regret that you couldn't catch the movie in cinemas. With that said, I am perfectly sure I just ruined your perfect day by making you regret for not watching this "Freakin Awesome" movie in the cinema. Finally, congratulations to the Director, Justin Lin for starting off 'The Awesome Summer blockbuster movies list!'

Inception

Hi guyz....the following is the review for te movie inception.....hope you all enjoy it.....

Plot

In a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, a highly skilled thief is given a final chance at redemption which involves executing his toughest job to date: Inception.Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Review

Firstly, before i start of with the review here's something that i want to do. "Now you are asleep and i have implanted an idea in your mind that, 'this is a great movie!!!'. Now when you wake up your conscience is going tell you that its a great movie which techinally comes from your mind but practically the idea is mine....(hahahaha...imagine this happening)

The director of this movie is non-other than Christopher Nolan. Yes, he is the director of Dark Knight.(I admit i am not a fan of batman but the dark night was fantastic) and like its predecessor C.Nolan has managed to produce a mind blowing and exhillarating movie that will keep you on at the edge of your seat. C.Nolan too is also the writer of this wonderful mind teasing plot and script of this movie. His script is so fantastic until you get the feeling that you are some how involved in the movie. The mind blowing lines that i found were when, COBB: "They say we only use a fraction of our brain's true potential. Now thats when we are awake. And when we are asleep our mind can almost do anything. In our dream our mind continuosly does this. We create and percieve our world simultaneously." or COBB:"Now as for inception, before you bother telling me that its impossible".....EAMES:"no!its perfectly possible." or when Arthur says something to the chemist, aka YUSUF's reply is simply:"haha bloody ha.." leaves us in admiration of this piece of unique script. I admit it i have fallen in love or probably even the idea that i love the scrpit of this movie was simply implanted as i wacthed it (LOL).

As for the characters, most of them were fantastic playing thier roles( might i just say all the characters instead of most?).Leonardo di Caprio has done quite well portraying his character with a great deal of depth showing us the insight of his character Dom Cobb. His friend ARTHUR too was one of the show stealers in this movie alongside with our british accent EAMES. Especially when Eames tells Cobb "Great.Thank you.So now we are trapped in fischer's mind battling his own private army. And if we get killed...we'll be lost in limbo till our brains turn to scramble eggs.hmm?" nailed him as one of the best show stealers in the movie and how can i forget the stunning Ariadne and the very cool SAITO. The characters in this movie played very well convincing us that this real!!!

Other than that this movie had an awesome mind blowing plot which gives us the unexpected with very good twists. This movie shows us that everything we planned might not go as it wants and like Cobb said "we must use with what we have". Thier fantastic plan had a little twist and while the plan was being executed there is another twist and so on.The movie just keeps you glued to it without even boring you a bit. The best part of the movie is you do not feel that you are left behind. After every scene you would be wondering what is going to happen with such enthusiasm till it gives you a feeling that you are involved with the movie.(if you are someone like me, once the movie ends you are going to be like OMG...its sooo damn bloody good!!).

Finally, this movie also has an awesome soundtrack which matches almost all the situations.Even the song they play to let the person know that they are about to recieve the KICK!!! was very nice and matching. It gives us a more vivid idea of the movie. We can not only SEE THE MOVIE or HEAR THE MOVIE but we can also FEEL THE MOVIE!!!(how cool si it?). However, the ending of the movie keeps the audience in the dark. Its simply about....Are they still in a dream or Are they in reality??(thats what you would be wondering after watching it till the end). But like i said this idea was probably implanted in my mind..(LOL...). To all those who would wish to end 2010 in a good note my advice to you is to simply watch this fantastic movie especially when its already been nominateed for next year's Golden Globes Award simply known as The Oscars. This movie is wonderful, intelligent, exciting and thrilling!!!

If The Matrix leaves you walking out of the theater asking, "How do I know I'm not in a virtual world?" Inception leaves you wondering, "How do I know I'm awake?" If you're looking for a fun action-packed thrill ride that makes you think, then go see Inception.

My Rating

9.4 out of 10

(ps:if it werent for the ending which leaves you in a doubt this movie would have easliy gotten 9.6)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows PART 1

hi guyz...i watched this movie twice in the theater to write a review...here you go...hope you enjoy it...

Plot

Voldemort's power is growing stronger. He now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide to finish Dumbledore's work and find the rest of the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord. But little hope remains for the Trio, and the rest of the Wizarding World, so everything they do must go as planned. As Harry races against time and evil to destroy the Horcruxes, he uncovers the existence of three most powerful objects in the wizarding world: the Deathly Hallows.

Review

As you all know by know that this movie is an adaptation from The Harry Potter book series written by J.K.Rowling. The director is the same as the one who brought the dreadful Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix. But i must say he has truly out done himself making this movie one of the best Harry Potter movies ever to be in production. I admit it after watching the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in the theatre i was worried about this movie cos of the way the director made the movie and the changes he made. But, after my 146 minutes in the theatre i came out with a relief and a belief that that the part 2 will be good too.

The script written by Steve Klove proves to be like most british movies a SHOW OFF!!! But at least the lines in this movie are far more memorable like these lines, Ginny:"Zip me up will you?",damn the twins, have managed to confuse me!!! Fred OR George:"i feel HOLY", Ron:"that ball of light went through me in my chest and after that i know what i had to do"....(a few catchy lines but it has quite an effect). And yes i admit it, the script was a bit better than its predecessors making the movie rather quite enjoyable to watch.

Although the movie was rather enjoyable, i found that Daniel Radcliffe's ability to portray the character lost its charm on and off. He was a bit too delusional while filming this movie i guess. But, nevertheless i must say from all the characters, this time Ron Weasley, played by Rupert Grint showed us what it really feels like to be Ron giving us a insight on the character. Rupert has managed to give a very good on screen performance which deserves some credit. Hermoince Granger played by Emma Watson was convincing too as usual but this time around she provided us with more depth and enthusiasm. As for Ralph Fiennes aka LORD VOLDERMORT's Death Eaters reunion with thier Dark Load was not able to produce the same amount of darkenss compared to the reunion of the Death Eaters in the grave yard form the Harry Potter and the Goblet of FIRE. But, the graphic phython managed to steal the show with its ruthless assaults and killing in which the phython managed to make us, 'the normal audience' jump out form our seats,(well mostly or people like me) or make the graphic geeks say "WOW!!!".

Besides that, the death of Dobby the Noble elf makes quite an impression on audience (ps:made me cry...twice....and i know u are smiling so STOP IT!!!..LOL). The wedding in this movie failed to create the atmosphere that the book was able to provide vividly which was quite disappointing ( but hey, its a movie and they were focusing more on the part where Harry meets Elphias Doge). Other than that, as usual the wand waving and duelling leaves us asking for more! All in all, the movie's soundtrack is superb as especially at the scene where LORD VOLDERMORT takes the ELDER WAND from Dumbledore's tomb. It showed a great deal of darkness spreading which gives you quite a feeling. Moreover like, Hagrid said in the Harry Potter's fifth installment...."There's a storm coming Harry, and when she comes we better be ready!"

And right you are Hagrid, we will wait for the finale of this magical adventure eagerly!!!

Red Riding Hood

As you can notice from the movie title they have removed the "little" out of it. So that they can distance themselves from the children fairy tale. Why is a good question? Firstly this movie ain't for kids(GOD,I loved saying it,LOL!). Secondly, the girl who is wearing the red hood ain't little. Thirdly, this movie involves werewolf, not wolf!

One thing is for sure, this movie is far more better than the epic slow motioned failure, Twilight and disaster movie, Sucker punch!

Simple plot, this village is being attacked by a wolf, werewolf! The villagers make a truce with the wolf and the truce is, the villagers must sacrifice their best farm animal every full moon. One day, a villager died and that made the villagers angry. They went to hunt the wolf and in the end they needed a priest's help to kill the wolf. (if i say anymore i would be giving away the twist and suspense,LOL).

The movie stars, with only a few handful actors. Gary Oldman was disappointing onscreen! His character was metaphorically foolish and mentally unstable! Amanda Seyfreid was much more better than Kirsten Stewart of Twilight. She was much more gorgeous and a far more better actor than the latter. As for the others, most of them were a bunch of unknowns, but the rivalry between Henry and Peter was a good one. It was interesting to be seen onscreen!

The movie had an okey script considering their budget and cast. the best part of the whole movie is whenever the Wolf appears. It gives you a feeling of terror!(hahahahahahaha). The CGI effects of the movie could have been better especially with the wolf tearing people apart! These type of movies are the ones that you can just watch for the sole purpose of fun, but even in that calss of movies this one is a one step ahead!Nevertheless, the movie was much more worthwhile than Twilight and Sucker Punch. Recommended for werewolf fanatics! Vampire(ps:twilight) haters! and mos of all those with big pockets who wants to watch movies for fun!
